The Wild Mother

Liberosis

Two parallel aspens bolted from their single sprouts in perfect captive width from the view she had barefoot on a befallen druxy oak. Her toes gripped the bark, appreciating its ageism to the young aspens thriving in the sunlight. Her soles walked midline towards the deciduous bars. Grasping the young bark and closing her eyes, she recalled the shared belly laughter with her sister decades beforeā€¦gripping the hose in unison, spraying their father while mother laughed, egging on the rumbustious act.

Anoesis enveloped, and the vagary of home life snuck in. Tightening her grip she leaned forward with her head and torso, leaving her toes to the quondam laughter while she pondered time. She screamed, allowing the pain to be captured in the abditory clonal colony. Silenceā€¦almost a reprieve from the chaos of thought hiding liberosis.

Hanging for moments and years, she inhaled the power from the silent thresholds between the trees, gaining brief periods of diaphonous reprieve, to survive another day.
